Special thanks to the Downtown Halifax Business Commission, the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, Waterfront development, Nova Center, Gahan House, and Stillwell for allowing us the opportunity to present a very real and unique opportunity to bring some joy and hope to people lives this summer.
The 2021 Halifax Salsa & Bachata Festival is a three-day-long series of Afro-Latin-inspired dance Festival that will be hosted across the downtown Halifax core, from August 12-14. This Festival is presented by Haliente Creative Studio and the Downtown Halifax Business Commission. Haliente Creative Studio will be offering Latin dance lessons and social dancing events for dance enthusiasts and curious newcomers each night.
The purpose of this festival is to encourage community engagement through the medium of dance, highlight the importance of active lifestyles, culture & diversity.
This summer is all about getting back to somewhat normal! For a community of over 2000 dancers, that means being able to dance the summer away, reconnect with old friends and make new ones. Our goal this year is very simple, we went to reconnect Halifax and get it moving once again. We will be offering various unique locations around the downtown core where we can come and rediscover this lovely city as we dance, drink and celebrate not only our diversity but life itself.
