What You’ll Learn:
1. Core Basics: Master the fundamentals of walking, posture, frame, and weight transfer.
2. Connection: Build a strong partnership with your dance partner through intention, soft lead, and follow techniques.
3. Signature Steps: Explore essential movements like saidas, close step, shuffles, and L step.
4. Timing and Flow: Learn how to keep the dance smooth and fluid with proper timing and transitions.
5. Dance Positions: Introduction to close, open, and double open positions for versatility on the dance floor.
6. Combinations: Put it all together with combinations that emphasize clean and clear lead-and-follow techniques.

URBAN KIZ IMPROVER

Urban Kiz is a modern fusion style of kizomba that emerged in the early 2000s out of the fusion of traditional kizomba with many other dance styles like Hip-Hop, R&B and Tango. It is an innovative dance and has a more open frame compared to traditional kizomba. The focus will be on musicality, playfulness, connection, and creating space for expression and styling!
Who is this for?
Dancers with intermediate+ experience in any partner dance OR
Those familiar with Kizomba basics (e.g., completed Beginner Kizomba)
Each class will introduce a new concept/technique and fun combo to get you comfortable on the dance floor fast!
